Zapy. Effective October 19, 2026.

The bay

Zapy is a cutting bay. A strip can join a reel only when a 1000 ms window fits inside the source. A source shorter than one second stays off the reel. The same frozen date cannot share a rank among ready strips. Sealing writes a new video from the windows you already set. Preview does not spend a Sprocket. Sealing an open reel of at least two ready strips spends 1 Sprocket. Saving a sealed file again, and copying a single strip, do not spend a Sprocket.

Sprockets

Sprockets are optional consumable purchases processed by Apple. Pack names and prices are shown in Get Sprockets before you buy. Unused Sprockets are removed when you tap Delete Account.

Your files

You choose the videos, ghost plates, and sound beds. A bed shorter than the reel run needs Trim bed or Loop bed before the reel can seal. Zapy does not generate music. A ghost plate is a reference still and is not written into the source file.
