Privacy Policy
Zapy. Effective October 19, 2026.
What Zapy stores
When you record or choose a strip, Zapy stores the source video, its length, the 1000 ms window, the poster, an optional ghost plate, the frozen calendar date, time zone, rank, note, tags, and whether the strip is silent. An open reel stores member order, the date-slate style, and the sound-bed choice. A sealed reel stores a copied video and a snapshot of those members. A display name and portrait stay with the same bay.
These records stay in the app storage. Zapy does not upload strips, ghost plates, beds, or sealed reels to a Zapy server.
Purchases
Sprocket purchases are processed by Apple. Zapy receives the product identifier and transaction identifier from StoreKit so it can add Sprockets and avoid counting the same transaction twice. Zapy does not receive your payment card number.
Camera, photos, and microphone
Record strip uses the camera only after you allow it. Sound on that recording uses the microphone only after you allow it. Choose video uses the photo library only after you allow it. Save video writes a sealed reel into Photos only after you allow adding photos. The portrait on Spool uses the camera or the photo library only after you allow it. If you decline the microphone, the strip can still be kept as silent. If you decline the camera or the photo library, that action stops and the open bay remains available.
Notifications
After you tap Continue, Zapy shows the system notification prompt. If you set a remind date on a strip, Zapy schedules a local notification for that date. Zapy does not register for remote push from a Zapy server.
Delete Account
Delete Account on Spool removes strips, reels, sealed files, the portrait, and the Sprockets still held in the app. Log Out returns to the welcome screen and leaves those records in place.
